You can either come by our office to pick up or fill out the water service application forms, or download, print and complete the forms before you submit them to our office. Instructions for New Customers

If you are applying for water service please download and print our Service Request & Agreement Form - (107 Kb).

The appropriate form must be completed and submitted to our office.

Meter Installation Requests


Persons interested in obtaining estimates for a meter installation must:

1. Provide complete, accurate directions to the property in writing or to the office.

2. Put up a highly visible, distinguishable stake where the meter is to be installed.

Persons who have received their estimate and are ready for meter installation must:

1. Come to the Water Company office and sign a Service Application & Agreement and pay the required fees. The water company will not issue contractor work order for a meter installation until this done.

2. When work order has been issued by the office, contractor will contact telephone company, pipeline company, etc. if this is necessary. These people must mark their underground lines before work can proceed.

3. Contractor will schedule the meter installation according to his work schedule with each meter being installed as soon as possible. In every case (except those requiring special order materials, road bores, and weather conditions permitting) meters will be installed within 10 working days of work order issuance.

Your water meter will be installed as quickly as possible but the contractor will at all times, give priority to emergency water outages.

Transferring Service

To change service that is already available into another name, you will need to complete the service agreement and provide proof of ownership of the property or approval from owner of property. A Membership Deposit will be requires as well as other required fees that are applicable.

Water Service Fees and Paying Your Bill

Please Note: New Rates for Services provided by DPSWC Become Effective September 15, 2008:

Standard meter ¾ “ – $25.00/500 gallons  - $4.25 per 1,000 gals to 10,000  - $4.50 per 1,000 remainder/above 10,000 gals

Basic Meter tap $1000.00


Bills are issued on or about the 28th of each month and due before the 15th of the following month to avoid a $5.00 late charge.

We now accept Visa and MasterCard
THE MINIMUM MONTHLY CHARGE IS $25.00 WITH A 500 GALLON ALLOWANCE FOR A STANDARD 3/4 INCH METER. (SEE "GENERAL METERED SERVICE FEES" BELOW)

THE CHARGE FOR USAGE THEREAFTER RANGES BETWEEN $4.25 PER 1,000 GALLONS TO 10,000 GALLONS AND $4.50 PER 1000THOUSAND GALLONS REMIANDER/ABOVE 10,000., DEPENDING ON USAGE AMOUNT.

THE RECONNECT FEE IS $45.00 ( AFTER HOURS, AN ADDITIONAL $25.00 WILL BE ASSESSED.)

THE METER READ CHARGE IS $12.50

CUSTOMER SERVICE INSPECTION FEE $25.00

CUT-OFF VALVE INSTALLATION FEE $60.00

ADMINISTRATION FEE $50.00

MEMBERSHIP DEPOSIT $100.00

BASIC METER TAP $1000 ($250.00 FRONT-END CAPITAL CONTRIBUTION FEE INCLUDED)

LINE EXTENSIONS ARE QUOTED ON A PER APPLICATION BASIS AND ROAD BORES.

COPIES OF THE TARIFF, BY-LAWS, ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION AND OTHER CORPORATION DOCUMENTS ARE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AND COPY AT OUR OFFICE DURING NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS AND FOR A NOMINAL CHARGE. PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE AT OUR OFFICE DURING BUSINESS HOURS OR IN THE NIGHT DROP BOX. ALSO PAYMENTS ARE TAKEN AT HOFFART’S STORE LOCATED APPROX. 1 MILE SOUTH OF HWY 105 ON FM 1486 IN DOBBIN.

WHEN MAILING YOUR PAYMENT
When mailing your bill, enclose the detachable right side portion of your bill, along with a check or money order for the amount due. Please do not include cash or coins. Cash is only accepted when paying in person.

General Metered Service Fees


General Metered Services

Applicable to all metered water services for which no special rates are available.

Monthly Service Charge

This is a readiness-to-serve charge, which is applied to all General Metered Service accounts. It is based on meter size, and is added to the consumption charge.

Rates
Meter Size Minimum Bill Gallonage Charge:

¾ “: $25.000/500 gals. $4.25/1000 to 10,000 gals. and $4.50/1,000 above 10,000 gals.

1”: $32.00/1250 gals. $4.25/1000 to 10,000 gals. and $4.50/1,000 above 10,000 gals.

1 ½”: $37.50/2500 gals. $4.25/1000 to 10,000 gals. and $4.50/1,000 above 10,000 gals.

2”: $65.50/4000 gals. $4.25/1000 to 10,000 gals. and $4.50/1,000 above 10,000 gals.

Basic Tap Fee $1000.00 (Includes Front-End Capital Contribution Fee $250.00)

Reconnect Fee $25.00 - $45.00

Returned Check Fee $25.00

Yearly Reserve Fee $120.00

A Regulatory assessment is required on all retail and sewer sales, which became effective September 1, 1991. The assessment is equal to one-half of one percent of the charge by water supply corporations (WSCs).
